Great news from SCS Software presenting ,,Corinth Canal" from the new upcoming Greece DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 game.

Another blog from our upcoming Greece map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is here! Today, we would like to give you a sneak peek at the famous Corinth Canal which we just could not leave out when creating this DLC, so let's take a look.

First, let's go on a brief journey into the history of the place. The Corinth Canal separates the Peloponnese Peninsula and the Greek mainland - at a width of approximately 6 kilometres, it connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf. Its importance is undeniable as plans to build this waterway first occurred in the 6th century BCE but it could not be built because it would be too complicated at the time. It was made possible by the invention of dynamite in the 19th century - the canal was completed in just three years between 1891 and 1893.
