Based on the Scania 111, the 111S was designed specifically for long-distance haulage and featured a larger cab, more powerful engine, and a wider range of transmission options. The truck was available in both two- and three-axle configurations and could be fitted with a variety of bodies, including flatbeds, refrigerated units, and tankers.
