Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) and American Truck Simulator (ATS), developed by SCS Software, are set to release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with listings also indicating potential availability on Xbox One, marking a significant shift from their long-standing PC exclusivity. The news first surfaced through store listings on PlayStation and Xbox platforms around August 18, 2025, with official confirmation from SCS Software during the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025 on August 20. No specific release date has been announced, but the games are expected to launch in the "near future," possibly in 2025, with speculation of a potential shadow drop or further details at Gamescom.

Both titles, known for their realistic trucking simulation, have garnered massive popularity on PC, with ETS2 selling over 15 million copies by 2024 and boasting an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on Steam from over 670,000 reviews. The console versions are expected to deliver the core experience, including detailed maps, licensed vehicles, and fleet management, with ETS2 covering over 60 European cities and ATS focusing on U.S. states like California, Nevada, and Arizona. The games will be optimized for consoles using an updated Prism3D engine, promising improved graphics, fluidity, and physics.
