The upcoming Coaches DLC expands passenger transport with a brand‑new activity called Tourist Jobs, offering a very different experience compared to Quick Jobs, Contract Jobs, and traditional truck deliveries. Players will take on the role of a coach driver, transporting tourists to some of Europe's most interesting destinations.

Tourist Destination Excursions

In one of our previous blogs, we gave you a closer look at the Quick Jobs and Contract Jobs you will be able to take on with Coaches when the DLC releases. But these won't be the only opportunities available to you. Today, we'd like to tell you more about Tourist Jobs!

Tourist Jobs will offer a different gameplay experience from Quick Jobs and Contract Jobs, as well as from the jobs you are used to doing with your truck. As the name suggests, you will step into the role of a bus driver, taking passengers who are enjoying their day off on trips from a bus station to an interesting landmark.

These destinations may include beautiful natural scenery, city centers where passengers can enjoy some sightseeing, or occasionally even industrial depots where they can take a guided tour. Of course, some of these destinations often have their own opening hours, and the arrival times take this into account.

Tourist Jobs are distinguished by whether the landmarks they visit are locally or globally known, which in turn determines the length of the journey. When you arrive at the final destination, you will be able to enjoy a scenic viewpoint accompanied by a short cutscene, giving you a taste of what your passengers came to see and providing even more incentive to discover these places for yourself.

Many of these viewpoints will also feature a short description of the location, allowing you to learn something new about the place you have just visited.
Once you have given your passengers some time to take in the sights, don't forget to bring them safely back home! Compared to Contract Jobs, Tourist Jobs offer a more leisurely schedule. This gives you more freedom to take your time, enjoy the scenery, and make the journey itself part of the experience.

First of all, why a traffic density mod is necessary?

SCS’s traffic system is powerful but underutilized by default.
This mod unlocks its full potential by:
– Dynamically adjusting spawn rates
– Balancing car vs truck ratios
– Enhancing city vs highway distribution
– Making g_traffic=1 feel alive without unrealistic congestion
No more forcing g_traffic=10just to see vehicles — this mod does it naturally and efficiently.

Known issues not related to this mod:
– Game may crash if too many traffic packs are combined (RAM usage spike)
– AI merging delays on motorways (prefab issue)
– AI sometimes spawns only in one direction (SCS issue)
– Accidents may not visually occur despite AI collisions (engine limitation)
– AI overtaking failures due to weak timing/acceleration codes
– Slowdowns near gas stations or rest areas
How can you improve traffic in your game:
-for better traffic diversity you may consider using additional traffic packs
-you can use motorcycles, classic and sport cars from existent packs as separate types of vehicles! this has been implemented in my sound packs, if you use them you don't need to change anything. without traffic sounds you could rename in each pack you use the def/vehicle/sii file name as following:
traffic_storage_sport.any_name.sii
traffic_storage_classic.any_name.sii
traffic_storage_moto.any_name.sii
important: what's in green must be exactly as it is, any other modification will make the list unavailable. the yellow part is optional, necessary if you add vehicles from several packs, if you do this be sure you don't
have a name conflict
note that adding these as separate vehicles, it will slightly increase traffic density and the overall balance of cars vs trucks.
